Family Picture Collage Activity

With baby #4 we made a great collage of our family. The kids LOVED it and it is a cherished keepsake in our family. It could also make a great gift for a new mom and dad. Here's how to do it:
1. Get a frame. Got a big frame from the Goodwill and put those small corkboard squares on it with glue, but you could use any frame and any adhesive (tape, glue stick, etc.).
2. Find doubles, loose pictures around the house, etc. that have the family members in them doing a variety of things. The kids loved going through my picture boxes (I have one box per year to keep them a bit organized). They wanted to talk about each picture and know the story behind it.
3. Sort the pictures based on size, location of picture, family member, whatever you want!
4. Attach the pictures to the corkboard or tape them to the back mat that comes with the frame. The kids were great with this as well. My husband and I did the cutting of a few pictures to fillin some bare spots, but the kids did the rest.
5. Hang up your collage and enjoy!
The kids are looking forward to making a new collage and saving some room for pictures of their new sister!
Here's a picture of our last collage:
