Today we needed to make some cakes for a friend's birthday. I really needed both hands free and I prefer not to cook with Maeve (6 weeks) in the Wear Me Wrap because I'm afraid I (or her siblings) might spill something hot on her. I needed something to keep Maeve's attention if she was to wake from a nap while we were baking or frosting the cakes (chocolate with vanilla frosting and butter pecan with coconut/pecan frosting). My Aunt sent me a great little fluffy sheep that makes sounds of the ocean, rain and whales. When Maeve woke up I turned on the sheep and she opened her eyes and listened. She loved it! I got the cakes done with the big kids and Maeve was happy to have some listening time. The sheep is called The Sleep Sheep .
