Who knew breast pumps could be so political?

Who knew breastfeeding could get so political? See the debate btwn Bachman & Obama -both want to promote breastfeeding, but don't agree on on how to do it.
I read the above article and the links. I had no idea that things could get so heated about breastpumps. In AZ where I live, there are already several programs that give free pumps (good ones) to moms if they request them. It's meant to pro...mote breastfeeding in general, but specifically to help moms who need to go back to work and are already on a tight budget. These programs are already in place. It would be so much easier and cheaper for the programs already in the community to do this either privately or even with a small grant
