Arrested for a SNACK!

Did you hear re: the pregnant mom arrested-her 3 yo taken away for 18hrs in Hawaii all over forgetting to pay for a snack at the checkout counter? I just thought the whole situation was out of control! How could Safeway let things get so out of hand?
