Need more reasons to spend facetime with your baby?

Do babies read lips to learn to talk? A new University study says they do! At 6 months of age, the time typically marked by a baby moving from strictly cooing (using vowel sounds) to babbling (mixing consonants and vowels to make "word-like" vocalizations), the study found that babies start paying more attention to the speakers lips-as if to figure out how to make those same sounds! This is particularly interesting considering that same age is when an alert MD and/or parent often notices other developmental delays (e.g., autism spectrum disorder, etc.). Check out the article linked above for more info and be sure to give your baby some facetime today!!! The time you spend with your baby face to face is so rewarding on so many levels....enjoy!

It takes 10 Minutes to do almost anything...get the baby dressed, give a bath, etc. Why not use that time to facilitate his/her language development? Get 10 Minutes for Talking: How to Raise a Strong Communicator in 10 Minutes a Day and find out how.
