My daughter just turned 1 yr on the 17th. We have never used bottles or formula. I EBF her as well. This is the first time I was able to do so out of 4 kids. I know one day she will wean herself, when she does that's when we will stop. My daughter also is the happiest baby I have ever had and never cries (not once at night since I have had her). She sleeps with me and eats all night :) Her and I are the closest we could be and even if she still wants to nurse at 2 it's fine with me. She has only been sick once even when we all have gotten sick she didn't. I'm really passionate about bfing and tell all expecting moms how wonderful and benefiting it is:)One of my friends who decided it wasn't for her calls me the bfing guru lol :)

This is a really great birth story. I knew someone else who had two children born on the same day. That is so unusual though.
Being born in the caul is supposed to be lucky.

Have you ever used desitin or another diaper cream with zinc. In my experience diaper creams with zince are good when the diaper rash is persistent.
Lansinoh is a good barrier cream though.

Hey there! Did you ever get an answer to your question? It's quite normal for the bowels to slow down at about a month old, to the point where they can even go a while (the longest I've heard was 10 days) without pooping, especially EBF babies. If her poops are paste-like and she really struggles to get them out, I'd encourage a little more time at the breast, after all it's the best laxative around!

I went to a talk with a Chiropractor who specializes in clients who are pregnant, called the Belly Bandit company and talked to a friend who is a physical therapist. The Belly Bandit company was really hard to get straight answers from. The professionals I talked to said that the support given by a binding device would do me "good" WHILE I was pregnant--as long as it was not worn too tight. They said there are several belly support products for pregnant belly (they didn't specifically recommend one). The support in the third trimester would help the weak muscles, but after the baby is born, the support of a binding device, in their opinion, does more harm than good. It can create a situation where you push the muscles more in the tummy and back because of the external support and doesn't require the tummy muscles to work with it on. Anyone else get any info?
