This is a really great birth story. I knew someone else who had two children born on the same day. That is so unusual though.
Being born in the caul is supposed to be lucky.

Have you ever used desitin or another diaper cream with zinc. In my experience diaper creams with zince are good when the diaper rash is persistent.
Lansinoh is a good barrier cream though.

Thanks for the info--She finally did poop. My pediatrician shared your opinion. I can't believe at baby #5 that I am still confounded by eating, sleeping and pooping =) The extra time breastfeeding was the key. Thank you so much!

Hey there! Did you ever get an answer to your question? It's quite normal for the bowels to slow down at about a month old, to the point where they can even go a while (the longest I've heard was 10 days) without pooping, especially EBF babies. If her poops are paste-like and she really struggles to get them out, I'd encourage a little more time at the breast, after all it's the best laxative around!
